三日月窃盗団 マントルの輸送車

茨城県を拠点に活動するバンド、三日月窃盗団の曲、「マントルの輸送車」に合わせて私が映像を制作しました。
三日月窃盗団は本当に素敵なバンドで、去年の秋に私が仕事で企画した野外イベントにライブ出演してもらったのを機に、CDを聞いてすごく良いなと思ったこの曲でぜひ映像作りたいですと話をして、ミュージックビデオを制作することになりました。
そして打ち合わせ、幾つかの撮影をして、春までに完成させる予定が初夏になってしまいましたが七夕の日に完成させることができました。編集に時間がかかって、本当に完成できるのかと一時不安になったのですが、できあがったらとても自分の気持ちが表現できている気がして、そしてバンドの方々にも気に入ってもらえて、そして地味に活動ずっと続けてきてよかったなと思いました。
私はこの曲の歌詞を聴いた時、とってもロマンチックな想像をしてしまったのですが、
制作者の須藤さんに打ち合わせ時に聞いたところによると、歌詞は日本の社会問題へのメッセージ的なものと、８０年代のバブリーな？ネオンの煌めく時代への憧れみたいなものについてだというように聞いて、なんだ〜。と思ったような気がします笑。
でも、私の解釈で好きなようにイメージを膨らませくださいと言ってくれたので、本当に私がこの曲を聞いてイメージした私のストーリーを作らせてもらいました。
映像の内容ですが、マントルを輸送する？車が走る深夜の高速道路に光るランプ、飛んでいく飛行機、夕暮れの少し廃れた街の中を何かを探して歩く女の子、同じ街の違う場所で音楽を奏でるバンド、がでてきます。映像にはバンドメンバーのうち普段ボーカルをとっている３人が出演してくれました。そして女の子役は、詩の朗読ユニットで活動していたり私の写真のモデルをやってくれたりしている御伽ちゃんが演ってくれました。私の中にいる"夢見がちで孤独な女の子"みたいなものを演じてもらおうとしたのですが、私がこういう風にして欲しい、と言っても演じるのはおとぎちゃんという一人の個性をもった女の子なので、映像にでてくるのは私のイメージと御伽ちゃんのイメージが合わさった女の子像という感じになってて面白いなと思ってます。多分おとぎちゃんのほうが私よりクールなので笑。
それと撮影した街はほとんどが水戸です。バブルな時代が終わって変わりつつある地方都市みたいな雰囲気、、？。
そして、歩いている女の子と同じ時間に同じ何かを共有しながら、バンドの人たちが、まだ出会うことなく歌を歌いながらそこにいるという感じ、、。
バンドの演奏シーンには水戸のMinervaに協力いただいてビルの屋上で撮影しました！
ご協力いただいたみなさまありがとうございます！！7/26には三日月窃盗団の出演するイベントでVJをさせていただき、演奏に合わせてビデオをお披露目しました。
なによりバンドの生演奏に自分の写真と映像を合わせて流す体験という機会を作ってもらえてとても嬉しかったです。
Finally finished making the video for the song of my favorite Indie band「三日月窃盗団」!
I am so honored to make a video for this song which I really love!
When I listened to the lyrics of this song, I had a very romantic image to it, but
according to Sudo-san, the producer, the lyrics are a message to Japanese social issue and the 80s bubble-economy era, something like a longing for the time Neon was sparkling in Japan.
But I was told to create the image as I like with my interpretation, so I really listened to this song and made my story. After that, the band understood it very much and the comments I received were the same as I thought, so I was able to make it with peace of mind!
The content of the video, There are lamps that shine on the highway at night, where the car runs transporting the mantle?, the frequent image of flying plane, and a girl walking around looking for something in a slightly abandoned city at dusk. The band are playing music in different places in the same city. Three of the band members who usually take vocals appeared in the video. And the girl' role was performed by Otogi-chan, who has been appearing in my photo works. She played a kind of "dreamy and lonely girl" that is in me, but even if I tried to direct her to do it, she is a girl with her own personality so I think it's interesting to see the image of a girl in the video is a combination of my image and her image of that girl.
And the city image scene were shot in Mito city. I think it reflects the image of a local city that has been abolished after the bubble era. I was born in Mito, but I never lived in Mito.
And as a girl walking, at the same time at same area, the band are singing a song without encountering each other...The band's performance scene was filmed on the roof of the building with the help of Minerva in Mito
I Thank everyone who supported this making the video. On July 26th, I did VJ at an event where the band played, and a the video was shown along with the performance.
